The Nursing Field Is Not Based On One Level Of Care

The nursing career was of interest to me because I like to help as many people as I can and make them feel better. It is also very exciting to me because there is always something new to learn and it never gets boring. Also the nursing field is not based on one level of care. There is a broad variety of care that one could go into. When I was little I would always tell my dad or anyone that asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up that I wanted to be a doctor. As I got older I realized that being a doctor had too much responsibility and they hardly spent any time with their families. With nurses they are still held responsible for a lot but are still able to spend time with family. I have a cousin that is a registered nurse in the†¦show more content†¦Having all these qualities is an advantage because that is what one needs to be in nursing. If a person do not have these qualities especially being a people s person then they do not belong in this kind of work. In the conv entional section I scored seventy percent. A conventional person is well organized, persistent, dependable, and make good team members. They are also comfortable working in situations and tasks in which they know what is expected of them. They also enjoy working indoors in a pleasant surrounding, and avoid intense personal relationships, and they prefer not to have their routines changed or messed with. All the descriptions between both categories are really me and they fit so well into the career that I want to go into. If I did not have any of the qualities nursing would not be for me. My ideal job that I would like to do is pediatric nursing. Which is working with children up until the age of eighteen. The important duties and responsibilities as a pediatric nurse would include identifying the child s signs and symptoms to provide proper care, be able to tell the difference between normal and abnormal physical findings, administer medications using appropriate age and weight guidelines, speak as a child advocate, and provide supportive care to the dying child. An Inspector Calls Theme Essay Questions An Inspector Calls is a play set in 1912, showing an upper class family living in England. It is a relatively short play in which the prejudice views and opinions of people during that time are revealed. Each character present at the dinner table is guilty in some respect, of killing Eva Smith.  Gerald Croft is the son of a well-known businessman. When he arrives at the Birling residence, he wastes no time in proposing to Sheila, who answers in the positive. He tries very hard to make a good impression on Sheilas' parents.  Mr Birling theres a fair chance that I might find my way into the next Honours List. Just a knighthood of course. Gerald Oh I say congratulations!  This shows how Gerald is trying to make sure that Mr Birling takes a liking to him. Gerald even goes to the extremes of siding with Mr Birling when he teases Eric, Mr Birlings son. This illustrates that Gerald desperately wants to win Sheilas hand in marriage. One gets the expression that his main reason for trying to this doing this is marry into the wealth and status of the Birling Family. During the inspectors cross-examination of Sheila the reader finds out how Gerald became involved with Eva Smith while she used the name Daisy Renton. This revelation of this alternate name shocks Gerald. The inspector goes onto to interrogate Gerald, and exposes that Gerald had an adulteress affair with the woman. Gerald does not deny this and admits all, even in front of his own fiancà ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½e. I find this honourable. I dont feel it is right but I think that Gerald deserves some credit and sympathy. This is because he then goes on to say how he fell in love with Daisy. He shows genuine compassion-  Sorry- I well, Ive suddenly realised taken it in properly that she is dead. He explains how he took proper care of her at a time when she was penniless. He emphasises that he did not demand anything sexual from the relationship, but their relationship turning romantic was inevitable. I also this is very honest. Sheila recognises this   Thats probably about the best thing youve said tonight. At least its honest.  I do not feel that Gerald held any major responsibility for the death of Eva. He admits his mistake in having an affair, but also divulges how he was taken aback by her beauty. The pair parted on neutral terms and Gerald made sure that she would be safe after they split. I feel a lot of sympathy for Gerald. He loved Eva and must have found it hard to lose her, even after such a long period apart. After accepting a marriage proposal from Gerald, Sheila is extremely happy and in high spirits. However after her encounter with the inspector, her mood dramatically changes. She reacts in a way very unlike the rest of her family. The reader gets an idea of Sheilas attitude before she is told about Eva. After finding out about that women of her kind are known as cheap labour, she says-  But these girls arent cheap labour theyre people  This is a very different attitude to her parents. She shows frank concern for another person, a person she does not even know and who is of a lower social class. This would be unheard of in many upper class homes such as the Birlings. This is a different outlook and for many upper class people during that time, the incorrect way to think. This shows Sheilas innocence and admirable beliefs. She knows her mistake and feel genuine guilt. Instead of denying responsibility she admits that jealousy was her main motive for getting Eva fired. I think it is noble to admit jealousy. She graciously admits her involvement and I believe that she feels over-responsible. I feel some sympathy for Eva because she feels remorseful and is sent into hysterics after realising the harsh truth- Shes Dead. I feel a different sort of sympathy to that I felt for Gerald. This is because she had no relationship with the woman, but after finding out she has passed away she regrets her selfish actions and cannot handle her guilt. Oh why had this to happen.  I feel that this quotation sums up Sheilas attitude and frame of mind. Sheila realises that getting Eva sacked from Milwards was abusing the power she had. She has learnt her lesson in the worst possible way.  Arthur Birling sees himself as an esteemed member of his community. He believes in rugged individualism, meaning that a person should strive to be the best, regardless of who he leaves behind. He does not have any real care for other human beings that are not involved in his life. a man has to make his way has to look after himself and his family too, of course, when he has one and so long as he does that he wont come to much harm  This quote shows how his blind attitude. I do not believe that he is completely at fault for his blatant ignorance is. Society in general during the early 1900s saw this as the only way of living. Growing up surrounded with this attitude would make a person believe it is entirely correct. This is why I do not blame Mr Birling fully for the way he acts. His initial behaviour started the chain reaction of events, which eventually lead to the death of Eva. He fired Eva from his factory after a dispute over pay. During his questioning the inspector reveals how he could have started the ordeal involving Eva to   his, he answers-  I cant accept any responsibility. If we were all responsible for everything that happened to everyone wed had anything to do with, it would be very awkward, wouldnt it?

Despite this, though, wars still happen all the time, so it is important to understand why this is the case and why people still feel that wars are inevitable. What is so significant about a war that makes the suffering and death that takes place during that war worth it? This can be asked of any war, but here it is asked specifically of the Vietnam War. The hypothesis examined here is that the Vietnam War was started because the United States was concerned about stopping the spread of communism. Most of the evidence that can be found and studied today seems to support this anti-communism theory, but there are also other opinions and beliefs on the issue. Some of these come from scholars, and some come from laypeople, but the most common and often-discussed ones are certainly worthy of consideration. It is important, therefore, to look at the different major theories that can be found on the Vietnam War to see whether the hypothesis above is valid. This is done through an analysis of three different sources and what those sources have to say about the causes of the Vietnam War. Unlike most wars that have either been fought in the United States or have had United States involvement, the Vietnam War did not have a specific starting point. At least, this is true as it relates to when the U.S. entered the war. Instead, the U.S. came into the war in steps and stages between 1950 and 1956 (Chambers, 1999). Firstly, with regard to the front line journalist, this is something that has been in existence since the earliest conflicts in human history. There have always been citizen reporters that had sent lette rs or messages home so that these could be read by the appropriate authorities/loved ones as a means of better understanding the given conflict (Cameron et al 2005). After the Crimean War, the role of the war journalist and front-line reporter was greatly aided by the inclusion of photographic images that detailed the plights of the combatant and the harsh realities or patriotic fervor that was intended to be represented. Of course the advent of film greatly added to the means whereby the front line reporter could hope to integrate key information to the audience. Likewise, the availability of the internet and the use of satellite phones enabled with video has only served to further enhance the role that these reporters play in bringing key facts to the viewing populace at home (Boylan 2011). Although the role of the front-line reporter has enabled individuals half a world away to quickly understand and integrate with certain aspects of the situation that is unfolding on the ground, it does represent a unique level of key challenges which will be discussed. The first of these determinants is of course the full scope and overview that the front-line reporter is able to understand and integrate with. Although it is useful to integrate with the viewing public how the situation appears on the micro scale, this is of course invariably at the expense of a more full and nuanced view of how the broader conflict is progressing (Hannon 2008). Similarly, with regards to the overall balance and bias that is interjected into the report, the proceeding section will cover this in some depth; yet, suffice it to say that the level to which non-bias can be presented with a reporter who is ultimately embedded with shareholders within the conflict is quite high (Emeigh 2003). The use of the embedded reporter was perfectly exhibited during the recent invasion of Iraq. The United States, as well as the United Kingdom and other actors, participated in the action all the while utiliz ing embedded reporters within their armies as a means of reporting back to the citizen at home with regards to t
